News...What great-grandmother were you named after? News to me! We did not look up the meaning of your name. Your father and I could not agree on a name (we were expecting a boy and had only boy names picked out - back in the dark ages before they told you ahead of time what the sex of the baby was) and they wouldn't let us take you home from the hospital (less than 24 hours old) without a name. We struggled (metaphorically, not physically) both liked Marie, it has a nice ring to it and is not common for a first name - Voila, you were named! I don't think you have a bitter bone in your body. Now that I think about it, maybe it should have been MY name. Love you.
