So, you know how they say every now and then, you need to take the time for a child and show them how important they are by giving them your undivided attention? Well I did that, a few weeks ago, when Savannah and Donovan Hurley were at the house. Savannah asked if I would play a game said, "Let's play a game," and went and got one. So, I reluctantly cheerfully agreed.
We played. It was slightly torturous with the little boys, but everyone had a good time.
Fast forward to Monday of this week. I had agreed to keep Donovan during Melissa's hair appointment, in exchange for her having kept Zachary during Michael's dentist appointment. But Savannah hasn't felt well enough to go to school lately, so Melissa asked what she wanted to do that afternoon. Options were:
1: go to school
2: go with mommy to the hairdressers where last time she got nail polish and stuff
3: go to Marie's with Donovan
She picked #3. When Melissa was telling me this, I said "Really? I thought she might want to stay with Mommy?" And Savannah, "No, I want to play a game with you."
Awwwwww. NOW I remember how that feels. Thanks.

Oh, okay, I can do better...
I've thought all day that I'd like to blog. I really haven't had the desire before now, but today I've been cleaning, and, well, can you say, "Avoidance?"
So, updates. I got a Maytag Epic washer and dryer. FOUR CUBIC FEET of washing machine, people. I'll wait while you drool. Thank you, GW.
Also, we spent our Christmas money. Some anyway. We bought an Easy Set pool, and finally started filling it yesterday.
I was released from my calling in Relief Society. I don't have a new one yet, but have been asked to teach a Primary class for 2 weeks. It might be Dustin's, but I don't think so, I think it's a year younger, and they are a handful.
Bill has 2 more sessions of firemen training for this horrible, awful, ridiculous, annoying, um, class, to be done with.
The boys' baseball seasons are in full swing, and I got Melissa the photography job.
I've stopped taking so many pictures. I know, I'm thinking about scheduling a doctor appointment, that can't be healthy.
All I'm going to say right now.

Hm, no posts for a month and THIS is the best I can do?
What Your Fridge Says About You |
You like to be surrounded by things you love. You aren't exactly greedy, but you can be materialistic at times. You are a very thrifty person. You don't like to waste money... or food. You don't tend to be a very adventurous person, but you do surprise everyone now and then. You have a bit of a wild side. You try to be responsible, but you don't always succeed. Your heart is in the right place though. You are likely single - and a workaholic. |
