So, you know how they say every now and then, you need to take the time for a child and show them how important they are by giving them your undivided attention? Well I did that, a few weeks ago, when Savannah and Donovan Hurley were at the house. Savannah asked if I would play a game said, "Let's play a game," and went and got one. So, I reluctantly cheerfully agreed.
We played. It was slightly torturous with the little boys, but everyone had a good time.
Fast forward to Monday of this week. I had agreed to keep Donovan during Melissa's hair appointment, in exchange for her having kept Zachary during Michael's dentist appointment. But Savannah hasn't felt well enough to go to school lately, so Melissa asked what she wanted to do that afternoon. Options were:
1: go to school
2: go with mommy to the hairdressers where last time she got nail polish and stuff
3: go to Marie's with Donovan
She picked #3. When Melissa was telling me this, I said "Really? I thought she might want to stay with Mommy?" And Savannah, "No, I want to play a game with you."
Awwwwww. NOW I remember how that feels. Thanks.

Lucky you, making memories. Glad to see the new posts. Since I have my new computer at work my favorites list is in alphabetical order and yours now comes up before the court forms website so I've been checking in pretty regular. Don't know why I didn't think of that before! Mom
P.S. Tell the boys to dust off their parchesi skills for next weekend. I feel a hot streak coming on.
Sniff, sniff too cute!
That is a really nice experience :)
I want to know what game you played.

Awwww. It only takes a little attention to go a long way in a child's mind.
